Dr Ludwig Zurbriggen - Visiting Research Fellow
Ludwig Zurbriggen is a Senior Lecturer at the Lucerne School of Business in Switzerland, where he teaches research methods. In April 2018, he joined as a Visiting Fellow in both the UCD Business School's HRM & Employment Relations Group and the UCD Geary Institute for Public Policy. Zurbriggen's visit was funded by the Swiss-European Mobility Programme. He discussed four reports of the research project 'Labour Politics and the EU's New Economic Governance Regime'. While at UCD, Zurbriggen also prepared a new course in industrial relations, which will be offered at the Lucerne Business School in Fall 2018.
Zurbriggen received his PhD in political science from the University of Geneva in 2002. While at the doctoral school at École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris in 1995, he had translated part of Pierre Bourdieu's The Weight of the World from French into German. His research interests lie at the crossroads of European economic governance, methodological transnationalism and industrial relations. More information is available on his full academic profile.
